Doctor, social worker, and a passionate human being- Sakia Haque is the first woman ever to travel all 64 districts of Bangladesh on a motorcycle! She is the founder of Travelettes of Bangladesh, an organization that aims at women empowerment through traveling. Dr. Sakia Haque is also a Medical Officer of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Health). Through her project, "নারীর চোখে বাংলাদেশ/Bangladesh through women's eye", Sakia interacted with 23,000 girls, led talks about menstrual health, and arranged self-defense workshops for them. They also educate girls about Health, Hygiene, and Environment, the Liberation War of Bangladesh, and the Tourism of Bangladesh. No matter how strong the barrier is, Sakia never stops until she reaches her goal and that led her to winning several awards including the Acumen Fellowship, Diana Award, and Joy Bangla Youth Award.
